Kimberly Deerfield is a professionally trained Birth and Postpartum Doula. She is certified in Rebozo, trained in Spinning Babies and has a vast knowledge of comfort measures she can utilize throughout the birth process. Kimberly provides services to women and their partners and families in Fredericksburg, VA and surrounding areas.
Kimberly’s mission is to enhance the physical, emotional and psychological health of mothers, babies, and families through respect, unbiased, compassionate and strength-based support during pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood. She encourages her clients to make informed decisions and will provide evidenced-based information when asked.
Kimberly fully supports all births; including hospital births, homebirths, medicated and unmedicated births and planned or unplanned cesareans.
Kimberly holds a bachelor degree in Human Services-Counseling from Old Dominion University and a Master of Social Work (clinical track) degree from Norfolk State University. She has worked for the last 7 years with children and families in need; specifically the past 3 years as an Intensive In-Home Clinician providing counseling and support to children, adolescents, their caregivers and the family as a whole unit. Kimberly thought that there would be no better way to join her passion for working with individuals and families and her passion for birth than to become a doula!
Kimberly grew up as a military dependent and has been calling Fredericksburg, Virginia her home for the last year. She is married to a wonderful and supportive husband who assists with the behind the scenes business aspects of Deer Doula Birth Services LLC. Together, Kimberly and her husband have three adorable children.
The business name Deer Doula Birth Services combines Kimberly’s last name, her love for nature and her passion for all things related to birth!
